What do we collect and why?
We do not collect your personal information at the time of creating a quote.
If you create an account on our website or mobile, we require an email address for verification purposes. You can then choose to add additional personal information, including your name, date of birth, gender, and address for you and your traveling companions. This information is required to purchase an insurance policy, so adding it to your account can simplify this process by prefilling the purchase page with the data you have saved in your account.
When purchasing a policy, in addition to the personal information listed above, we require credit card information. Your financial information is only used to complete the transaction and we only store the last 4 numbers of your card in our database. Your contact information is only used to send your policy documentation to you after purchase as well as other relevant information to be able to provide the services you are purchasing.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. Your IP address is used to help identify you and your quote.
How do we protect your information?
This website and app takes every precaution to protect and secure your data. We use SSL to encrypt your information, which is then stored securely in our database. When you purchase a policy, your encrypted data is securely sent to the insurance provider where your payment is processed and your insurance policy is provided to you. Rene Health securely stores a copy of all policies purchased through our website and app.
Only trained and certified staff have access to view customer data. All staff complete security certifications annually for all applicable laws and regulations for data and privacy protection.
We use Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online. Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the Internet.
Rene Health and third-party vendors, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) to inform, optimize, and Rene Health serves ads on other sites based on users past visits to our website. Visitors can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings.
Who do we share your information with?
When you purchase directly from our app or website only Rene Health, your insurance provider and the partners that we use in order to provide the services that you purchased, receive your personal information. We never share or sell any of your information with any third party.
What happens if you are referred by one of our Travel Partners?
If you accessed our website via one of our Travel Partners unique links, they will be credited with your sale and can log into their secure account to view information related to your policy, including your name, policy number, address, and travel information.
How long do we keep your information for?
Automated Decision Making Process
When purchasing a policy, the information entered will result in automated decisions regarding your eligibility for travel insurance. Every travel insurance product has different requirements based on age, travel dates, residency, trip cost, and destination. When quoting and purchasing, your information is checked against these eligibility requirements to automatically allow or deny a quote and/or sale. You will only receive communications from Rene Health and the insurance provider from which you purchased your policy. At any time, you can ask to review any of the information we have retained, how we have used it, and to whom we have disclosed it to by contacting us at email@example.com
With proof of your identity and in compliance with exceptions prescribed by law, you will have reasonable access to your personal information, and will be entitled to modify, change, and/or remove any non-necessary or inaccurate personal information in our database. Removal of your contact information will stop any future communications from Rene Health.
